I wanted you to experience the same thing I did - Reddit slowly filling with bots and generated content. To keep it clean of anything sensitive, I took several public gossip communities, merged the posts, ran them through multiple rounds of translation until nothing was traceable, and rebuilt the whole thing as a subreddit arguing about famous composers. An agent then wrote profile stats for every generated user based on their post history - click a username and see. All of it is AI-made. It still looks painfully real.

I read Reddit daily - not the healthiest habit, but years of filtering got my feed down to things that actually interest me. Two observations from those years: the content has gone downhill, and the dead internet theory keeps getting harder to dismiss. Short version: the theory says most of the internet is now bots, algorithms, and AI talking to each other, with very little human left in between.

So I got curious whether the people writing nonsense on subreddits I follow are real. I exported the most-commented threads from a public subreddit over a few days, loaded them into a database, and gave an agent MCP access. Then I asked one question: which patterns jump out at a glance? It immediately flagged users writing in the exact same style (98%+ match), comments arriving in chains - one user posts, the same group follows within minutes - and accounts recycling identical content with minimal variation ("username checks out," "this is the way," "came here to say this").

I was afraid to ask for further analysis.
